      Recently, the new-generation ultra-supercritical 650°C grade stainless steel boiler tube C-HRA-5 produced by Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as TISCO) passed the technical review of the State Administration of Ceramics and Vessels, and at the same time, it was led by Taigang. The new standard of heat-resistant stainless steel (C-HRA-5) seamless steel pipe for power station boilers (T/CISA004-2017) has passed the certification. So far, Taigang has succeeded in developing the first-generation ultra-supercritical 600°C high-grade stainless steel boiler tubes in China, and it has become the first company in China with the capability to mass-produce and engineer high-grade stainless steel boiler tubes for 650°C-class high-efficiency power stations. . Taigang’s high-grade stainless steel boiler tube technology continues to lead the country and ranks among the best in the world.

 
    TISCO is the first company in China to develop high-grade stainless steel boiler tubes. As early as in 2007, it took the lead in the domestic development of a 566 °C grade supercritical power station boiler stainless steel boiler tubes, breaking the monopoly of foreign countries, to fill the gaps in the country. In order to meet the urgent demand for the development of China’s power industry, TISCO has continued its efforts in the research and development of high-temperature power station key materials for high temperature pressure components. From 2009 to 2017, it has successively successfully developed 600°C, 620°C, and 630°C series of ultra-supercritical power stations. Stainless steel boiler tubes for boilers, among which stainless steel boiler tubes for 600°C-level ultra-supercritical power station boilers have been used for the first time in the domestic leading power generation equipment manufacturing enterprises such as Shangguo and Dongfang, and have made important contributions to the development of China’s power industry.
 
    The biggest challenge in the research and development of high-grade stainless steel boiler tubes is that new products are required to undergo long-term high-temperature durability and corrosion resistance tests. Therefore, from the composition design of products to the formulation of process routes must be accurate and thorough, and the slightest deviation may lead to Research and development failed. For more than ten years, TISCO’s technical team has conducted a large number of basic researches on the characteristics of materials and used multiple data models to simulate the material use environment. At the same time formulate a detailed process plan to ensure that the final product 100% achieve design results. TISCO C-HRA-5 stainless steel boiler tube is currently the highest grade stainless steel boiler tube in the application stage in China. The successful development of this product marks another important step towards serialization and high-end of TISCO’s high-grade stainless steel boiler tube products.
 
    It is understood that the key material of the third-generation 700°C ultra-supercritical power station, namely the TG700A/B-type nickel-base alloy pipe, developed ahead of time by TISCO and having the internationally leading level and independent intellectual property rights, has already been industrialized at Huaneng Group’s first 700°C power station in China. Test platform for testing. TISCO’s high-grade stainless steel boiler tube products have achieved breakthroughs from follow-up to side-by-side and leading positions, and will surely play a more active role in promoting high-end equipment manufacturing and upgrading of the power industry.
